On the First Day of Christmas!

It's December 1st, and it's feeling like Christmas on Wall Street. The markets took off today, as stocks responded to good news on the inflation front. Retailers managed a modest start to the season, and consumers seem prepared to celebrate. Large-caps gained about 1% on the day, while the technology-laden NASDAQ pulled off about a 1.5% gain.
