Oil Slicks and Mondays

Ouch! I'm feeling the pinch at the gas pump these days. Prices have skyrocketed in the last week, and oil is now close to $70 per barrel. Is the summertime demand already kicking in? This was the main culprit on Wall Street today. Large-caps managed slight gains, but they were heading into orbit before the report on oil. NASDAQ gave up some of the gains from its weeks-long run.
