The Detroit Auto Show is going on, and U.S. carmakers are trying to show they can compete with foreign competition. It's always fun to look at the concept cars to see glimpses of the future. Speaking of the future, I joined it today with the purchase of a smartphone. I'm e-mailing and cruising the web via phone. Amazing. The Fed is saying "no" to interest rate decreases, but I don't think Wall Street quite believes them. Wal Mart is still shaking things up in the executive suite.
