Citigroup released earnings today. They were down 57%, but this was no big surprise. Since the problems in the credit market, the company has been warning investors. Despite the warnings, the news hit Wall Street hard, resulting in losses on all indexes. Other financials will surely follow, as the shake-out continues. The weather is cooling off, even in Mississippi, and I'm beginning to have a hint of the holidays. The real news will be how the summer meltdown among the financials affects the Christmas season.
