Today, stocks ended modestly higher as robust buying ahead of earnings season ground to a halt in a light-volume session. Expectations for a strong week of third-quarter earnings reports sent U.S. stocks higher for much of the morning, with financials helping to lead the tape. A series of large banks are set to post their quarterly earnings in the coming days. So we need to be on watch for those. Today was an overall good day in our markets. We are hopeful for the future!
